BC Support Specialist – Financial, Accounting & Reporting

Job overview

Actively collaborates in the management, maintenance and optimisation of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (MS BC) system, with the specific focus on supporting the company’s administrative and accounting activities. The role involves identifying and implementing evolutionary changes, troubleshooting and providing technical support to system users.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Support the analysis of new requirements and the implementation of evolutionary changes.
  • Interface with external partners and consultants for the configuration and customisation of modules and financial reporting, according to business needs.
  • Manage and maintain the MS Business Central system, with particular focus on the needs of the accounting department.
  • Provide technical support to internal users to solve problems related to MS Business Central.
  • Help identify system errors and malfunctions, implementing effective solutions together with the system integrator.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure that the integration with other company systems works properly.
  • Create and update technical documentation and user manuals for system users.
  • Work with the Accounting team to prepare reports and analysis in relation to business trends, including analysis of variances.

 

Job requirements:

  • Education: Degree in Economics, Management Engineering or related disciplines;
  • Experience: at least 3 years of experience as a key user for ERP systems (finance module), with particular emphasis on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central;
  • Technical Skills:
    • Extensive knowledge of MS Business Central, mainly related to general accounting and cost accounting;
    • Skills in analysing and troubleshooting ERP systems;
    • Excellent knowledge of the Office package, in particular Excel;
    • Good knowledge of general accounting;
  • Interpersonal Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external users;
    • Aptitude for problem solving and ability to work independently and in a team;
    • Proactivity;
    • Excellent analytical and synthesis skills.
